Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How much do I get paid?
A: It depends on type of production, type of vehicle, length of rental and number of days your vehicle is actually used. The most important factor is the price you set yourself.
Q: How do I get paid and how long do I have to wait?
A: You normally get a bank Cheque from the production company on the day or within within a week of use.
You should make arrangements before you agree to hire your vehicle.
Q: Do I have to have insurance?
A: No. Most production company's insure your vehicle from the time
it arrives at the location until the time it leaves. If vehicle needs to be
transported, then it could be insured by the transport agent. (Please check with the
vehicle wrangler). NZ Movie Vehicles takes no responsibility for vehicle hiring.
Q: Does my vehicle have to be in mint condition?
A: No. Depending on the production, vehicles in any condition may be used, TV & Film camera's hide all manner of defects.
